iTunes 5 from the Perspective of the Brushed Metal Interface

Now this is some funny shit.

Over the years, people have bitched about the non standard MacOS interface. Apple has a set of guidelines, a bible if you will for the GUI (graphical user interface, pronounced Gooey, but I still say G.U.I.) that Apple itself doesn’t even follow.

People are particularly touchy about the brushed metal theme that Apple applied with seemingly no rhyme or reason.

Some apps use it, some don’t. Quicktime? Yes. Mail? No. iCal? Yes. Pages? No. Safari? Yes. iMovie? No.

Finder windows will even shift back and forth if you click the little oval in the upper right corner of the window…why?

Anyway, check out this interpretation of what the Brushed Metal interface persona might go thru since the introduction of the new (very non brushed metal) iTunes 5 interface.
